How do we encourage students to become creative learners?’
An action research based project exploring maximising creative potential in partnership with Salisbury Playhouse and Trafalgar School, Downton : a specialist arts college in Wiltshire.
Spring 2011 : I worked alongside staff from English and Textiles to explore exisiting curriculum projects through creative learning approaches. I worked on the GCSE set poems of Simon Armitage and Recycled Textiles with Year 9. Each group worked in an imagined context as the focus for creative approaches to their studies.
Spring 2012 has a new challengefor me of working with 3 departments : History, Geography and Beliefs,Values andTraditions to collaborate on creative learning approaches to the key question of
'What happens when cultures collide?'
This is part of the schools work on developing theirr Middle Years International Baccalaureate programme
